Great Price "Core Animation: Simplified Animation Techniques for Mac and iPhone Development" for $30.93 Today
Core Animation is relatively new in Cocoa and Coco Touch. It is an amazing fun and useful framework though can be a little confusing at times. This book does a great job of explaining the difference between views and layers and explains how to use them and how to get the most out of this framework. The examples show how to use implicit and explicit animations. And take you step by step through the different animations, how to use them, how to group them and how to sequence them.
Reading this book has saved me a bunch of time and frustration and I plan on adding more animation to my projects in the future.

Good information but lots of mistakes - Kevin McCullough -
This book could us another pass by an editor. There is repeated code, misspelled words, and incorrect calculations. If you're knowledgeable these shouldn't be a problem, but they may trip up a beginner.
